We're hiring
Senior Full-Stack Engineer for decision-grade impact valuation.
Second engineer with technical ownership from day one. You'll work across the full stack: Nuxt frontend, the agentic AI pipeline backend, and the data layer that ties it all together.
Role
Senior Full-Stack Engineer
Location
Fully remote, Portugal/Spain preferred; open to EU candidates for exceptional fit
Compensation
EUR 75-85k/year full-time equivalent
Stack
Nuxt 4, Nuxt UI, Tailwind CSS, InstantDB, Vercel AI SDK, Vercel Workflow SDK
We're ImpactAccounting.ai, a software that measures, tracks, and predicts a company's real-world impact on people and nature. Not ESG scores or sector averages. We model company activity-by-activity, trace outcomes through causal pathways, and convert them into comparable societal value - continuously and automatically through an agent-based analysis pipeline.
Under the hood: built-in databases for carbon accounting, lifecycle assessment with ecoinvent decomposition, input-output analysis, and regionalised value factors. Results reflect local grid intensity, tariff structures, and labour conditions rather than global averages.
Output is decision-grade: pathway-level decomposition, sensitivity on every key parameter, and a fully traceable audit trail where every data point and assumption can be inspected and challenged.
What used to take a six-figure consulting engagement and a calendar quarter now fits inside a due diligence cycle, and scales to portfolios of 100+ assets.
Today we serve capital allocators: impact investors, family offices, foundations, and DFIs. The long-term ambition is bigger: evaluate every company in the world, and provide the data that finally makes green-washing and impact-washing impossible.
Where we are
Bootstrapped, paying customers, growing from revenue.
We're building as a fully remote team from day one, currently between Switzerland and Guatemala.
Two cofounders with real track records:
Olivier
Based in Switzerland, previously cofounded and exited Pix4D, drone mapping software now an industry standard in photogrammetry. I've built ImpactAccounting.ai solo over the past year and you'd work directly with me on the product and technical side.
LinkedInSamuel
Based in Guatemala, one of the world's leading experts on impact valuation. Creator of the eQaly framework, used by major impact investors such as Summa Equity and global corporates such as Nestle and Novartis to measure social, environmental, and economic outcomes.
LinkedInWe're building the software layer that makes Sam's methodology and the broader field of impact valuation operationally scalable.
The role
Second engineer with technical ownership from day one.
You'll work across the full stack: Nuxt frontend, the agentic AI pipeline backend, and the data layer that ties it all together.
This is real autonomy, real impact on the product direction, and a path to deeper ownership as we grow.
The stack today is Nuxt 4, Nuxt UI, Tailwind CSS, InstantDB, Vercel AI SDK, and Vercel Workflow SDK, deployed on Vercel. Modern tooling that works well for the current product, but will evolve under your direction.
Engineering
A small codebase, understood deeply.
Our main goal is to build a product that users enjoy, trust, and that makes a real difference. We understand the trade-offs at each stage of a startup: when to keep things simple, when to experiment quickly, and when to invest in architecture that will compound.
We treat AI tooling as a force multiplier, not a substitute for judgment, good architecture, or taste.
We'd rather have a small codebase we deeply understand than a large one we're constantly fighting.
What we offer
- EUR 75-85k/year full-time equivalent, with flexibility on working percentage and schedule - including a lower percentage if that is the right fit
- Long-term upside through share options or a similar participation model
- Employee contract via EOR with proper benefits, paid leave, and social security
- Fully remote. Portugal/Spain preferred; open to EU candidates for exceptional fit
- Async-first by structural necessity; we already span Switzerland and Guatemala
What we're looking for
- 5+ years as a senior engineer, strong with Nuxt 3+ / Vue / TypeScript
- Comfortable across frontend, backend, and data-heavy product work
- Thoughtful about AI tooling such as Claude Code and Codex
- Genuine interest in impact, sustainability, and rigorous measurement
Bonus experience
- Hands-on experience with LLM integrations, agentic pipelines, or evaluation frameworks
- Background in data-heavy or scientific software such as lifecycle assessment, sustainability tooling, or financial modeling
